We also offer private lessons to students who are interested in extra training.
We now offer the opportunity to train with two senior instructors of Ryukyu Kempo. Steve Stark Hanshi and Bill Gossett Hanshi now visit the Shinkikan Dojo to share their extensive knowledge of the weaponry and empty-hand aspects of Oyata Ryukyu Kempo. Visit our "Events" page for more information and pictures from previous seminars.

"Shinkikan Dojo is wonderful for beginners and experienced martial artists. Seymour Sensei is very knowledgeable and skilled. Also, he is a very generous teacher who really cares about his students' progress. I highly recommend the Shinkikan Dojo." -Clark Quigley
"Shinkikan Dojo is the perfect place to learn not only Ryukyu Kempo, but also the history and philosophy behind the art. Seymour Sensei teaches out of love for the art, and that comes across in the lessons. He takes the time to make sure each student understands not only the physical aspect, but how the kata applies to each new skill. It would be hard to find anyone more devoted to passing on not only the skills of Ryukyu Kempo, but also the Okinawan Spirit of protecting and valuing life that the art embodies." -Robert Bliss
"As an Okinawan, learning karate had always been in my mind, but I never expected to find such a great teacher far away from Okinawa. Seymour Sensei covers not only "kata" and it's application techniques but also logic and history of Ryukyu Kempo that greatly helps my understanding. I feel the more I learn at Shinkikan Dojo, the healthier and more enjoyable my life has become." -Yukino Miyagi
